Designing a
communications network is like solving a crossword puzzle. The
solution is arrived at methodically, and while all the clues are usually present,
there is often more than one correct answer to any particular clue
although, only one of those answers is the correct one.
The incorrect
answer to one clue will have a domino effect throughout the puzzle
meaning that the correct overall solution is not obtained, while a
single incorrect answer can mean hours of backtracking in an attempt to
rectify that one simple error.
